The story here is nothing new, literally -- it's a graphic novel/manga of the pilot episode (with both English and Japanese captions). But the execution is very cool, and totally worth taking a look.

Bobby and Darien, trapped in an elevator with a very pregnant Keeper. God, who could resist? Short, sweet, and funny as all hell, with spot-on voices and characterization. Mostly a gen story about Bobby being Bobby in a very stressful situation, but with an utterly charming Bobby&Darien moment as well (that some of us may choose to read as a Bobby/Darien moment *g*)

This is just wonderful -- dead-on dialogue, completely wacky situation, perfect reactions to everything. Her Bobby, in particular, is an absolute delight. Go! Read!

A crossover with Stargate SG-1 and The Sentinel. Darien and Bobby are forced to endure a weekend teamwork-building retreat.
Why you should read this
This is brilliant. The premise is a bit of a stretch, but just go with it, because the story itself is a freaking blast. Heeee. I would say more, but -- they're at a teamwork-building retreat. What more needs to be said, really?

Darien and Hobbes encounter more than they bargained for on a routine mission at a Catholic school.
Why you should read this
This is wonderfully long, with an actual case that needs to be solved, leaving Darien and Bobby at the mercy of nuns and Catholic schoolgirls. What could be more fun than that?

This is a companion piece to Chalie Ruocco's "Sex, Lies, and Star Wars" (rec below) -- Bobby's take on what happens in that story. Like the original, it's fairly bleak, but feels very real. Bobby's all too aware of what he's like and how much he needs Darien, and what that need is doing to Darien. Don't read it if you're looking for a pick-me-up, but if you liked Chalie's original, you'll like this, too.

A mission goes wrong and Darien's injured; vacation days don't seem like much of a consolation prize. Then Bobby starts dropping by.
Why you should read this
A mostly lighthearted first time, dealing with the aftermath of an op gone bad and how it winds up bringing Bobby and Darien closer. The hurt is obvious, and the comfort is understated but genuine, and makes me intensely happy, even before things shift to the erotic.

Why you should read this
This isn't a happy story -- it's bleak and desperate. Don't read it if you're looking for fun I-Man slash; this one focuses on just what happens when Darien thinks he's getting involved in a happy, sexy relationship, but fails to really consider what Bobby's obsessive side can be like. This isn't generally my favorite kind of story -- I'm not big on angst for angst's sake. But this one feels real, so even though it's painful, it works for me. And while it's a completely fucked-up relationship... it's a genuinely caring relationship, too.
note: For some reason, this story isn't linked from her list of stories.

Darien, Bobby, an airplane, and not a lot of plot.
Why you should read this
The summary says it all. This is a fun ride, as Bobby and Darien drive each other happily insane on an airplane.

Darien and Bobby on the hunt. Like wolves, they hunt.
Why you should read this
This is wonderful, all about their friendship, their connection, and most importantly, their banter. Fabulous banter -- Basingstoke has it down cold, as they riff off each other throughout this, rolling with whatever situation they're in. I grinned my way through the whole thing.

"You know -- buddy sex."
Why you should read this
This is an amazing mix of funny and painful, sweet and heart-wrenching. Lydia nailed the voices and the relationship, taking a familiar slash trope (buddy sex) and looking at it through the lens of these particular characters. I adore it. You should read it.

Why you should read this
This is so completely perfect -- the dialogue, the voices, the characterization, everything. It's as whacked and happy and weird as the show, and I couldn't stop grinning after I finished it. Everyone who loves Invisible Man should read this story.
