Why Walk When You Can Fly, by the Clucking Belles
(team gen, slash - John/Rodney)
added September 5, 2008
Vidder's summary
Friendship. Family. Team. Space. Possibly slash
Why you should watch this
The warmth and connections in this vid just build and build, and make me happier and happier all the way through. John and Rodney each start out alone, but gradually realize they have each other, and once they've got that, they can have more -- the team, which by the end is their family. This is just gorgeous, and hugely happy-making.

Hello, by Merry

Vidder's summary
SGA in the wild dark yonder.
Why you should watch this
Merry's summary is perfect -- that's exactly what this is, starting with the very first note. This isn't the bright dorky side of SGA, this is the dangerous, scary, isolated side of season 1, when they were all alone and had only each other to rely on. This is just gorgeous.

Why you should watch this
Does this one even need a rec? Jolene! *hearts* This is a masterpiece of love, angst, and jealousy, and possibly the funniest damn vid I have ever seen. I have no idea how many times I've seen it now, and it never gets old; just knowing that it exists makes me happy. Poor, poor Rodney. Hee!

Rodney McKay + Stress = OTP
Why you should watch this
I don't think I can improve on that summary, but here goes. The clucking belles have a gift for timing and humor that's just amazing, and this vid showcases it beautifully. The song choice is perfect to Rodney, to the point where as far as I'm concerned now, it was written specifically for him. And all of that sounds very serious and analytical, when the actual upshot of this vid is: omg, HEE! So if you need a little "hee" in your day, definitely check this out.

SGA and Xanadu crossover inspired (as these things go) by Pouncer.

Okay, seriously, who but Barkley could cross SGA and freaking Xanadu? Hee!Gene Kelly raises Atlantis from the ocean floor! Lynda Carter is an Ancient! Rollerskating Lanteans!*hearts*

Her, city
Why you should watch this
This is just a gorgeous look at all of first-season SGA, particularly Weir and Atlantis itself. The music balances a hopeful, even joyful, tone with a darker, more dangerous one, which Kanzeyori takes full advantage of to show how settling in to the newly awakened Atlantis is both exhilarating and terrifying.
One technical note: The silence at the beginning is unnerving, but deliberate. Do not adjust your player. *g*

Vidder's summary
Happy slash from Rodney's POV, and fun with screencaps for the intro.
Why you should watch this
Rodney is such a dork. But that's okay, because so is John, really. And they are just adorable and fun together, all around. Hee. The screenshots make for a very cool intro and framing device, too.

Why you should watch this
Okay, see, the thing is? Barkley is nuts. And so is Pouncer. And... yeah, just go watch this vid. C'mon, you know you want to -- it's an SGA/Airwolf vid! What could be better than that? (Also, keep your eyes peeled for the gecko. Because there's a gecko.) (Or something that looks like a gecko. I don't know from lizards.)
